Can You Use Hypnosis Techniques To Improve Creativity

Researchers have studied patients in a hypnotic state and have discovered that there are no significant physical changes in the bodies of their subjects. The patients bodies only seem to be relaxed and slowed down all throughout the hypnotic process. Using an electroencephalograph (EEG) to measure their brain waves, doctors found a change in the rhythms of electrical voltage. Their findings suggest that the brain waves of the patients under the trance state are similar to those in a deep sleep state, which are of course different from the normal waking state. It has been concluded from these studies that the subconscious mind takes over the normal conscious one during hypnotherapy sessions.

The activities in the cerebral cortex during hypnosis were also studied. It was noted that the activities in the left hemisphere of the cortex were less compared to the activities that happened in the right side. It has been well documented that according to neurologists the left hemisphere controls one’s logic, deduction and reasoning while the right hemisphere takes charge of a person’s imagination and creativity. For the duration of the hypnotic state researchers accept the fact that the right brain dominates the left brain because the subconscious mind is being accessed.

Based on reports from stage hypnotists, their subjects often act like children when they are under hypnosis and they become creative and playful. They sometimes also perform or do odd things, probably because they do not have any inhibitions during the process. During this process it has also been noted that the subjects actions generally do not oppose their values as a person. Subjects that accept the hypnotist’s challenges under hypnosis carry out the suggested actions, and this is thought to be because when they are under hypnosis their minds are free from negative thoughts, and this brings their creative side through stronger because of right brain domination under hypnosis.

Emotions, negative thoughts and different circumstances in life can often hinder a person’s natural creativity. By careful use of hypnotherapy one can become more able to handle the fear of failure and self-criticism, making a person more open to fantasies, more relaxed and playful. This can open up a person to follow their own instincts and channel this freedom into his or her own creativity, possibly helping them to create things more easily than they would normally be too inhibited to do.

Hypnosis in Golf – Part 1

Golfers of all standards are recognizing that hypnosis does work. There is more to it than the stereotypical stage hypnotist who wears flowing robes, has a goatee and makes usually sensible people cluck like chickens, or do rather more embarrassing deeds whilst under his “spell”.

A lot of people are afraid of hypnosis, but this is usually due to lack of knowledge. They’ve seen a stage show and think “I’m not going there” or “you couldn’t do that to me”. There is a natural fear of losing control, and a secondary fear that maybe you can’t be hypnotized – that it takes a certain type of person to be hypnotized.

Everyone can be hypnotized, so long as you want to be. You pass through hypnosis every time you go to sleep and every time you wake up – it’s the dreamlike state between wake and sleep. When you drive home in your car, and ask yourself when you get there “did I check the traffic lights?” you’ve been in a trance – a state of hypnosis. When you stare through the TV and don’t hear your partner speaking, that again demonstrates trance; it is hypnosis.

Hypnosis is natural, normal, and powerful. Think how useful it could be to block out everything except what’s in your spotlight of thought, AT WILL?… Not just when you’re staring through the TV. Wouldn’t that be helpful when you’re teeing off on the 1st or putting for eagle on the 18th?

Hypnosis is a state of relaxation at one with a state of heightened awareness. You’re not asleep, you’re not knocked out and you cannot be made to do something you don’t want to do. You can hear and you can think. Again, wouldn’t it be helpful to be able to have a relaxed awareness on the golf course? To be able to remain calm inside, but totally aware of what is important at the same time, AND be able to block out unnecessary thoughts and distractions? Just one look at Tiger’s facial expressions and you know how he’s feeling and focusing when he is playing golf.

It seems to be that human nature is that if we’re not achieving the results we desire we must be doing something wrong. We look for something that needs to be fixed. In golf this usually means a fine dissection of our grip, stance, alignment, swing path and so on; followed by a rework of the swing (which may take all year to groove). Very few people think that their swing is basically alright, but they need to focus more clearly, relax more, or begin to think straight.

Returning to the “my swing needs to be fixed” culture, ask yourself “why is this the case?” Because most golfers hit several beautiful shots and a few that weren’t as beautiful – and each time it was the same person who swung the club. How can your golf swing need fixing when that swing hits both beautiful and less than beautiful shots? Ask yourself as well whether you can remember a day when you started on the 1st and hit some really nice shots and you felt yourself thinking “Oh, it’s going well today”?…and your confidence grew, and somehow everything came together and you had a great round of golf? Did your swing need fixing then? Is it your swing or your mind that makes the difference in golf?

Why not spend some time focusing upon your golf mind instead of the mechanics of golf? You can learn how to change your habitual thoughts with the help of hypnosis downloads. Why do you think the professionals use golf hypnosis? They use golf hypnosis because it works; hypnosis downloads can be used to get you to focus, to stay in the now, to visualize a great swing and to see what you really want to see. You can use golf hypnosis downloads to create a great swing which suits you as an individual.

Emily Brady_Weight Loss_Positive Changes Hypnosis

Hi, my name is Emily Brady and I’m from Waggaman, Louisiana. After giving birth to my third child, I became content with life. We frequently ate out. I ate when the kids ate and constantly snacked between meals. My complacency caused me to gain a staggering amount of weight in a short period of time. I tried to lose weight with an array of weight-loss fads and diets. I’d deprive myself and pray it would make a difference. It didn’t. I’d end up binging on chocolate or snacks. Each time I’d gain back my weight faster than I lost it.

Five Ways Anybody Can Benefit From Hypnosis

To many people hypnosis seems exotic, mysterious, maybe even a bit mystical. Therefore it is difficult for many to connect with hypnosis, and to understand how they can personally benefit from hypnosis. Hypnosis is not mystical, and it is only mysterious when you don’t know how it works–much like any other skilled profession.

Hypnosis is no more exotic or mysterious than dentistry. The only difference is we see a dentist on a regular basis throughout our entire life, but are much less likely to experience professional hypnosis, or hypnotherapy. Hypnosis is a natural state that everyone experiences on a daily basis. At a minimum, you are in hypnosis twice a day. You pass through a hypnotic state as you fall asleep, and as you wake up. You may also experience hypnosis “zoning” in front of the TV, or you may experience “highway hypnosis,” when you reach your destination but don’t remember the details of the drive.

Sure, stage hypnosis is funny and the comedic hypnotists work hard to keep hypnosis mysterious–it’s part of the show. But if this is the only exposure you’ve had to hypnotism, you’ve only scratched the surface. Hypnotism has many more practical uses that can benefit your everyday life.

Here are five common, everyday issues that hypnosis can help you with.

Insomnia. Hypnosis is incredibly effective for relieving insomnia. Most patients get relief within one session. Even people who have suffered from insomnia for years have experienced immediate relief. Hypnosis can be used to stop the symptom of insomnia and can be used as an ongoing therapy to prevent the return of insomnia.
Finding Lost Objects. Have you ever lost an object and been frustrated trying to remember, consciously, where you put it? Then maybe weeks or months later you find it and remember, “oh, yeah, I put that there because…” Hypnosis can be used to access the subconscious mind, which will remember accurately where you put the object. Many people have recovered lost objects this way.
End an Unwanted Habit. Want to quit smoking, biting your nails, or some other habit that you just can’t seem to quit through “willpower” alone? The subconscious mind is 88% of our brain’s power, so trying to quit with willpower alone means the odds are stacked against you, 12% against 88%. Your subconscious will not release the habit without intervention, and that is what hypnosis is, intervention for your subconscious mind. Convince your subconscious that you are a non-smoker, non-nail-biter, etc., and watch yourself change.
Get Past a Fear or Phobia. Many people have their lives limited by a fear or a phobia. Perhaps you don’t fly home to see family because of a phobia about flying. A fear is a learned reaction to a real event (e.g., a fear of dogs because you were bitten as a child). A phobia is an irrational reaction (e.g., fear of flying when you haven’t had any negative experiences on a plane). Both fears and phobias are quickly resolved through hypnosis, giving you new freedom in your life.
Get Relief from Chronic Pain. Pain relief, an anesthetic effect, is a natural property of hypnosis. Before the discovery of ether, hypnosis was commonly used to anesthetize patients for surgery. Even today, hypnosis is being used for dental patients and for medical patients who cannot tolerate chemical anesthesia, and these patients tend to recover more quickly as well. What does this mean in your day to day life? Chronic aches and pains that are not responding to traditional medical approaches can be relieved by using the anesthetic properties of hypnosis. Once a qualified hypnotherapist teaches you how to use hypnosis this way, you can provide pain relief for yourself at any time, anywhere, in any circumstance.

There are many more applications for hypnosis that can benefit you in your everyday life. Many have used hypnosis successfully for weight loss, to improve their memory, to relieve stage fright or performance anxiety, and much, much more. How could hypnosis benefit your life?
